MotherSpace Group

In a beautiful village in the Surrey Hills, there is a special barn where, once a month, Sam & Laura host a cosy, relaxed and welcoming safe space to nurture the mother.

The Mother Space is a supported space for mums with babies under crawling, where you can reflect & connect with other mums in a similiar position in the local area, and enjoy a full (and hot!) cut of tea & piece of cake.

There is no judgment, pressure or comparison, just a cosy space where you can rest, relax and be looked after, as you care for your baby, surrounded by a wealth of empathy, advice and listening ears.

The rollercoaster of joy, euphoria, loneliness and overwhelm, can be draining and confusing. Having a focused time to reconnect with yourself, simply as you are, can recharge and refresh.

£8 per ticket

concessions available as and where necessary.

How Did The Motherspace group come about?

Originally set up by two doulas, Emma and Katherine, in the Dorking area, the Motherspace is a result of a new mothers last reserves of energy to 'create a creative, welcoming and supportive group for new mums, as it was so lacking for us at the time'. Emma, Namamama.uk, is so proud of how much the concept has grown in the Surrey and Sussex areas and continues to work as a postnatal doula.

Sarah & baby Zac

"Such a beautiful group. The opportunity to be looked after was so wonderful. The best cake this side of Farnham!'

Vicci & baby Isla

"I had never heard of a space just for the mum. It is so refreshing to be in a safe place where you can be honest and not feel judged."

Emma & baby Lottie

“Sam and Laura were so welcoming with blankets, hot tea and cake. I have been creative, laughed, cried and relaxed.”

Susannah & baby Daisy

“Sam and Laura created a special space for us to relax and concentrate on ourselves and our babies rather than rushing into the world.”
